I've watched enough good design quietly fall apart after launch to become slightly obsessive about the part that comes after

I'm a product designer who reads systems theory for fun, which tells you most of what you need to know. I spend my days on native iOS and Android apps and the design systems that keep them coherent, and my evenings between FC on the PS5 and a few pages of Thinking in Systems.

Quality lives in the system, not in a single mockup
I had the pleasure of working with Nabawy during my time as VP of Product at Tractive, where he was a UX/UI designer on my team. From the start, he stood out, not only for the quality of his design work, but for the way he made the entire team better.
Nabawy owned and managed our entire Figma design system, and he did it brilliantly. He brought order, consistency, and scalability to how we designed, turning the system into a genuine asset that both product and engineering could rely on every day. That kind of foundational, behind-the-scenes craftsmanship is easy to under appreciate and genuinely hard to do well. Nabawy made it look effortless.
Beyond the skills, what I'll remember most is the energy he brought. He's warm, approachable, and the kind of person people naturally gravitate toward and want to collaborate with. He's also deeply curious and eager to learn, always looking for ways to sharpen his craft and grow. That mix of talent, humility, and drive is rare.
Any team would be lucky to have Nabawy. He has my highest recommendation, and I'd happily work with him again in a heartbeat.
VP of Product at Tractive
I had the chance to work closely with Nabawy at Tractive, and I can genuinely say he was one of those people you could always count on.
Our collaboration was always natural and effortless. Whenever a design system question came up, he was consistently one of the go-to people in the team. He played an important role in shaping, documenting, and maintaining the system, helping turn complex discussions into something the team could actually use and build with. While the design system was definitely a team effort, Nabawy was a key contributor who helped keep things organized, scalable, and moving forward.
What I appreciated most was his reliability. Whether it was reviewing patterns, discussing implementation details, or helping connect design decisions with engineering realities, he always brought a thoughtful and pragmatic perspective.
I'm also excited to see what he does next. With the industry rapidly evolving, I can easily see him thriving at the intersection of product design, design systems, and AI. He has the curiosity, adaptability, and systems thinking needed to help shape how AI can elevate both the design process and the products we build.
Any team looking for a collaborative designer with strong systems thinking and a genuine willingness to help others would be lucky to have him.
Design Engineer at Teamviewer
As Nabawy’s manager, I always appreciated his ability to execute quickly and effectively. He is a talented Product Designer with a great grasp of visual design and UI/UX. What makes him particularly valuable is his efficiency combined with his technical foundation; he understands how to build and maintain solid design systems rather than just creating isolated screens. I gladly recommend him to any team needing a fast, capable designer who can hit the ground running.
